If your iPod Touch will not turn on, try the following steps:
- Try holding the power button for at least 5 seconds to make sure it will not turn on.
- Plug the iPod Touch into your computer. This may turn the iPod Touch on.
- (Optional if you have a second computer) Plug your iPod into a second computer and see if that works.
- If it still doesn't work, hold the Home button and the Power button simultaneously (at the same time) for at least six seconds. Try this at least two or three times.
- If none of this works, your iPod has an internal problem and you must take it back the Apple Store to the Genius Bar if you are still within the 1-year warranty, or if you are not within that warranty, you must buy a new iPod Touch.
