It is really up to you, to decide what you want to do. Many people will get another pet, if their pet has died. However, you may or may not want another pet. Think about your experience of owning the pet who died, and decide whether it worked out well enough that you would like to get another pet.
As for the pet who died, some people like to bury their dead pets with a full religious ceremony (of the type that you might use for a dead person), but that also is up to you. The body can be disposed of with as much or as little ceremony as you feel is appropriate.

∙ 11y agoTake it to the vet and they will dispose of the body for you for a fee. Your animal control will also handle it. If you own property you can bury it.
