Nothing! Just enjoy the honor of being able to observe a native animal in its habitat. Do not approach the animal, however. Observe it from a distance.
Just stay back and do not approach it or attempt to touch it. Chances are it will do nothing but try to avoid you.

If you do have raccoon urine on a carpet you have a problem. I just recently learned on Animal Channel that raccoon's urine contains a parasite that can be transmitted to humans. You need to get a very strong disinfectant on that carpet. Call your local vet to see what you should use.
A captive raccoon is a raccoon kept in a cage, pen or loose in a house but not allowed to roam freely in nature as they should be. Wild animals should be allowed to be free.
