∙ 11y agoThere is no lupus diet. Lupus patients have a very high risk of cardiovascular events so a diet high in fiber and low in animal fat reduces risk. Some lupus patients find that gluten is a problem, others do not. Since the immune system of those who have lupus is already having a hard time figuring out "friend or foe" it probably makes sense to avoid artificial chemicals but there are no definitive studies that I have found.
Fresh fruits and vegetables (at least 5 servings per day), whole grains, minimally processed food and lean protein constitute a healthy lupus diet.
