You need a rag, a towel, saddle soap, and a pail of veryhot water.
Since water is not good for leather, wipe the saddle with the towel if it is too wet.
Don't put saddle soap on the non-leather parts of the saddle.
You will need warm water at the very least. Since this will take you a while, you need to start off with hot water and refill the pail as necessary if the water cools down too much.
If you are a pony clubber you will be told you should clean your tack every time you ride. THIS IS RUBBISH! dont do this unless you have a groom, or nothing else to do. Clean it before competitions and pony club rallies. and occasionally if you wade through mud on a pony. Or it will crack and die. Geneii
Yes, you can. But it is considered bad taste, if you use it in show. But here are the Pro's & Con's of Synthetic Tack. Pro's: * You don't have to have Cattle killed, to have the Tack made. * It is more durable. * It won't show as much wear & tear. * It is very "clean friendly". You can just squirt it with a hose on high, and it's clean! * It's less expensive. Con's: * It is not as formal as Leather. * Most equestrians consider it bad taste to use it in SHOW. * You can't find it at all Tack Shops. You sometimes have to order it ONLINE.
To preserve it and keep it nice looking.
Everyday after a ride.
We clean tack for several reasons:With regular care, the leather will keep in good condition for longerTo look nice and presentablePrevent cracking/breaking
Yeah you can..but be careful do it easily but DO NOT clean ur tack without taking dust, dirt,or any unwanted particles off ur tack.
You should clean it everyday that you use it.
yes the Victorians did use blue tack from there bumhole
How you clean tack is by getting a sponge or cloth, applying any brand of tack cleaner (avaidable in equestrian stores) and rubbing it in well. (make sure you take off the bit.) it is optional to take your bridle apart. or you can take away the bit, get a bucket or basin, fill it with cooking oil and simply dump your tack in.
You need to clean your horses equipment everyday to keep the equipment from rotting and breaking. It also helps to keep the horse comfortable when it has clean equipment to use. For tack that comes in contact with the horses skin it should be wiped down daily and deep cleaned at least once a week.
no! not tried! maybe you should!! see how you get on you twit! :)
In order to make sticky tack sticky again, You have to completely clean it. You first make sure all the dust and dirt is off the product. Then you wash it with soap and water. After you get all the residue off, dry it with a clean towel. This should make the sticky tack sticky again.
