maybe jazz pants or other flexible pants or shorts, but try not to do the leggings (aka tights for some people) thing. Just a slightly tight-fitting t-shirt or man-singlet should be good. The whole purpose of the clothes are to make it easier to dance in, so what you need is flexible clothes, that aren't too baggy, that you can move around and, essentially, dance in.

I am a dancer and you could wear a flapper for jazz or tap. It is probably more commen to wear a flapper for a high energy Jazz dance!
