I looked at some pictures of the front driver's side brake assembly from a 1968 Porsche and the bearing area looks like the bearing area on a VW. So...put the VW speedo in, snake the cable down to the driver's side wheel, stick it through the hole in the axle, thread the end of the cable into the hole in the cap, attach the clip and put the cap on. Then hook up the speedo and you've got it.
