Male African elephants stand at around 10 to 13 feet tall at their shoulder. Female African elephants stand at around 7.2 to 8.5 feet tall at their shoulder. Full grown adult tuskers are known to weigh in the range of 4.5 tonnes. The Average African elephant weighs 2.7 to 6 tonnes. Though the African females are known to weigh approximately the same as their Asian counterparts, African Bulls are known to be much heavier than their Asian brothers.
the size of an elephants ear depends on the size of the elephant but Indian elephants have smaller ears than African elephants :)
One difference is that African elephants have the bigger ears. They are also slightly bigger in size that Indian elephants. African elephants also have two "fingers" at the end of there trunk while Indian elephants only have one and African elephants are more grey while Idian elephants are more of a dusty colour.

The African and Asian elephants are the two main forms of this mammal. One key distinguishing feature is their ear size; African elephants have large, fan-shaped ears, while Asian elephants have smaller, rounded ears. Additionally, African elephants generally have a larger body size compared to their Asian counterparts.
The easiest way to tell the difference between an African and an Asian elephant is by looking at the size of their ears. African elephants have larger ears that are shaped like the African continent, while Asian elephants have smaller ears that are rounded. Additionally, African elephants have a concave back, while Asian elephants have a convex or straight back.
There are two types of elephants. There is an African elephant and an Asian elephant. So, there are elephants in Africa and elephants in Asia. You can tell the type of elephant by the size of their ears. African elephants have a large ear while Asian have a smaller ear.
some differences in African and Asian elephants is that: African elephants weigh up to 4000 - 7000 kg and have a height of about 3 - 4m, though Asian elephants only weigh about 3000 - 6000 kg and have a height of 2 - 3 and a half metres. African elephants skin is a lot darker and more wrinkled, where as Asian elephants have lighter and smoother skin. African elephants have a concave back, where Asian elephants have a straight or slightly humped back. African Elephants have a sloped head, with no bumps, bulges or denses. Where as Asian elephants have rounded heads with some bumbs and have a dint on the top of their head. African Elephants have larger ears with a size of 4m, and the ears cover its neck. Where as Asian elephants have smaller ears and it doesn't cover its neck. In African elephants, both male and female elephants have tusks, though male elephants tusks are larger. Though with Asian elephants, yes the males grow tusks as well, but the females don't. And if they do, they are barely visible anyways. Also on the end of a African elephants trunk, it has two fingers. Though Asian elephants only have one finger. ( These are true facts, I got them off my science teacher who specialises in differences found in similar mammals. )
There are Asian Elephants and there are African elephants . They both have different foot prints faces and ears and also the size of them .
African elephants have bigger ears than Indian elephants. Coincidentally, African elephants' ears resemble the continent of Africa, and Indian elephants' ears resemble the country of India.
