To replace the starter solenoid on a 1998 Chevy Prizm, first disconnect the negative battery cable to ensure safety. Remove the starter from the vehicle by unbolting it from its mounting and disconnecting the electrical connections. Next, detach the solenoid from the starter by removing the retaining screws or bolts, and install the new solenoid in reverse order. Finally, reassemble the starter, reconnect it to the vehicle, and reattach the battery cable.
It is behind the headlight on some cars.
