Original flint or purcussion pistols by Henry Deringer could be anywhere from 28 to 50 caliber. Remington Arms made several different "Derringer" pistols (note the difference in spelling) ranging from 17 to 41 caliber. The most widely recognized Remington derringer is the over/under double barrelled Elliot's patent chambered for 41 rimfire cartridges. Modern copies of these are readily available today in 22, 38, and 45 caliber. Dozens (hundreds?) of other small, easily concealed, pistols and revolvers have also been called Deringer/Derringer/Daringer, etc, by most people even if not by their manufacturer.
9mm is a caliber, meaning a 9mm pistol is a pistol usually using the 9x19mm parabellum round. Therefore there is no exact number. A popular exampleof a 9mm pistol is the M9 handpistol, with a magazine size of 15 bullets, other pistols involves the CZ_75 holding approx 12 bullets to 20. depening on other calibers it holds. The pistol with most round are the ES Five Seven with a amzimum of about 30 bullets, while deringers (small one time use mini hand guns) can hold only 1 or 2 rounds.
they are exactly the same
30-06 caliber bullets
Caliber is the size designation for rifle and handgun bullets. Guage is the size designation for shotgun rounds.

Pistol Star is a massive star estimated to be about 100 times more massive than the Sun. Due to its immense size and intense radiation, it would be impossible for people to fit into Pistol Star.
No. Size of the bullets are different.
Depends on the caliber.
I assume you mean "In current or recent production" My guess, for a BB gun, would be the Walther PPK/s. It's 6.1" For a pellet pistol, there are too many that are the same size to list here. But most start around 7.1 plus inches in length.
There are too many variables to be able to answer that. would need to know the size of the bullet and the type of lead.
The 9 mm is preferred over the 38. The two bullets are about the same size and frequently will work from the same pistol. Police departments that used to use the 38 have gone over to the 9 mm or 45. If you are shooting in international competitions, you would need 9 mm. 38 would be useless. Any strictly American sizes will become useless. Before long, it will be almost impossible to get ammunition for a number of 32 caliber pistols. So, if you are getting a pistol, get one that will have use down the road.
It's difficult to answer what is "average." Pistol bullets can be as small as .17 caliber (although not common) and as large as .950 caliber (also very uncommon). The most common semi-auto handgun calibers are .22, 9mm, .40 (depending on where you are) and .45. The most common revolver calibers are .22, 38, 357, and .44, but there are a lot of other calibers available.
