Ring neck pheasants require a permit and you must be able to prove pheasants were gotten from a place that also has a permit so save your receipts. Contact your local DNR for a permit application

The Ring necked Pheasant.
It belongs to the bird family. That is in the animal kingdom.
A pheasant is a type of bird. It orginates from Asia and the breed most well known is the 'ring neck' pheasant. These birds are very colorful, most have a brown to bronze coloration on the majority of the body, with a blue or blue/green head and bright red waddle around the eye. The Ringneck also sports a white ring around the neck separating the brown body color from the blue head color. Pheasants are also known for their long, striped tail feathers which are often used on hats, hat bands and in arrangments. There are many variations of the pheasant species with that are more colorful such as the Lady Amherst, Golden and Silvers.do you mean peasant or pheasantpeasant- medieval poor personpheasant- a bird that looks like a pigeon type bird/ smaller version of a turkey
