I know there was a 300, not sure if there was more than that in the 96 King Quad line up.
Addition:
I saw one for sale recently and looked up the values on KBB.com. The largest engine size they have listed is 280.
I am not 100% certain, and I am no mechanic; However, I have always used 0.028" on my 1996 Suzuki King Quads with no problems.

it should be down round the bottom of the engine or at the back of the engine
could be bad plug, wire, bad O2 sensor or plugged cat converter.
On the engine there is a little window this window should be on the same side where you pour in your oil on the right side past your tire where the engine mounts on at. I fill my oil to about there.
I have the same quad and we're putting 10w40 in it...seems the oil caseing and the rear diff are one.....
engine oil 20-50 trans formula + primary formula +
I might be wrong but on a Suzuki king quad the tire pressure should be 36 psi!
Nothing is wrong. A 1999 Suzuki king quad 300 usually tends to burn a lot of oil. Many people worry something may be wrong with the engine, but chances are the quad is becoming old.
Remove the plastic bezel/shield around the headlights ,its under the shield behind the headlights. anyhow i have a 1996 and that's where mine is.
