According to the 2008 Mercury Sable owners manual : ( the Motorcraft FL-400-SB12 engine oil filter is used for the 3.5L V6 engine )
A 1997 Mercury Sable takes the ( # 9007 headlight bulb )
Open the drivers door and look at the latch pillar , there will be a sticker showing the tire size on the vehicle from the factory
On a 1996 Mercury Sable : There were two engines from the factory : The 3.0 litre " Vulcan " V6 engine , which is an Over Head Valve / pushrod design engine or the 3.0 litre " Duratec " V6 engine , which is a Dual Over Head Cam ( DOHC ) design
For a 2002 Mercury Sable : ( 68.1 litres / 18.0 U.S. gallons )

The 1999 Mercury Sable came from the factory with one of two engines : The 3.0 liter " Vulcan " V6 engine , which is an Over Head Valve / pushrod design engine , or The 3.0 liter " Duratec " V6 engine , which is a Dual Over Head Cam design engine
A 1997 Mercury Sable came stock with size p205/65r15 tires. Taller or shorter tires will cause the speedometer to read incorrectly.
