Well...they dont. (at least not that i know of)They can become use to certain schedules or even hear you moving the dog food bag. They could also smell the food...but they don't really "know" That they are going to get fed.Like my old cocker spaniel use to flip the bowl until we gave him food :P (usually only when we ran out of dog food, or if one of us forgot)
The different haircut guard sizes available for use with clippers typically range from 0.5 (shortest) to 8 (longest), with each size representing a specific length of hair that will be left after cutting.
When trimming eyebrows, it's common to use a guard size of 1/4 inch (or about 6 mm) for a subtle trim, allowing for a natural look while maintaining shape. Some may prefer a slightly shorter guard, like 1/8 inch (3 mm), for a more defined appearance. It's essential to start with a longer guard and trim gradually to avoid cutting too much. Always use scissors or a small trimmer designed specifically for eyebrows for the best results.
When choosing clippers for a haircut, consider the desired length of the hair. Use a smaller clipper guard for shorter haircuts and a larger guard for longer haircuts. It's best to consult with a professional hairstylist for personalized advice.
