Automatic trans drain plug is on left side of pan(for atf). differential oil drain plug is directly below differential. Manual transmission has only one plug(below differential in center of trans)
Kia Rio manual trans fluid changeChange the manual transmission fluid, first remove drain pulg on the lower bottom of the transmission. Drain old fluid. Reinstall drain plug. Remove the speed cable housing from the transmission, this is where you add the new fluid.
If it is a auto trans and there is no drain plug, you have to drop the pan, and change the filter and gasket while you at it. If it is a manual, there is a plug on the lower passenger side of the transmission body. pull it and the fluid will drain.
there should be a drain plug on the rt. side of trans. rt. above that there is the fill plug there is a drain plug on the rt side of trans. rt above that is the fill plug
The trans does not have a drain plug.
If you are talking auto trans---3.8L approx. drain and refill. From dry inlc. torque conv. 8.4L------ Manual trans. 2.1 L

It does not have a drain plug. You need to remove trans pan to drain.
It requires gear oil and its a combination trans and diff. Usually 75 80 or 80 90 gear oil is used. bottom of trans there are two plugs, one for fill and the other for drain.
simple enough. there are 2 plugs on the trans, one on the bottom to drain, and one on the side to fill. Drain it out, replace the plug, remove the side plug and pump the appropriate manual transmission fluid in until it starts to dribble out of the hole and then replace the plug. Done!
Most of the ATF will remain in the trans cooler and lines unless you have the transmission force flushed by a trans shop.
If this is a standard shift transmission, some one may have put the incorrect trans fluid in to it. Drain and refill with correct fluid, check your drivers manual for correct trans fluid.
