the size that fits...
That depends on the size of the individual getting out of the drivers seat and the size of the driver's door. The larger the person, the more room between the car and wall will be needed.
On most Sportsters remove the #3 size Philips head screw at the reear of the seat, and slide the seat towards the back of the bike. When you replace the seat be sure the front of the seat hooks on the tab.
On a 96 beretta there are 2 bolts just under the front edge of the seat. Then after you remove the seat bottom there are 2 torx bolts (don't remember the size)holding the seat back and seat belts. After you remove the 2 torx bolts then you pull the seat back up to unhook the top of the seat back. torx T50
Start by lifting the carpet out and removing the skid plate that holds down the carpet by the sliding door, there are 4 screws. then using a size 13 socket remove the 4 bolts under the seat. then you will find 4 more bolts on the side of the seat. using a size 16 metric socket remove those bolts. By now you should be able to slid the seat out. watch out its heavier then you think.
The advantage is you can remove the car seat from the stroller to the car. The disadvantage is the size and the bulkiness, and no room for other travel accessories.
Using the correct size Allen wrench, remove the passenger handles on each side of the bike. Then, lift the rear of the seat up and pull rearwards after it clears the passenger backrest.
I believe it is a FTX500
It is usually a Torx bit. It been a while since I have done it so I cant remember the size. I do remember it was a larger size. Good luck.
You should have the seat professionally relocated. Certainly you do not want it to shift during a quick stop. Alternatively, buy a car that fits your size.
I have a 1990 Full Size Bronco. To lay down the back of the seat there is a small latch on the side. To fold up the seat altogether there is a pull lever in the back on the floor. To remove the seat you pull up that lever and push the whole seat forward and either pull the pins from each side or remove the mounting bolts on the floor depending on which year you have. Hope this helps
You don't need a torque wrench when you unscrew something.
It is under the van on the left side below driver's seat. You need a special tool to remove it that is available in most autoparts stores. On my 1986 E 150; Under the drivers side front seat, Under-side of the van, mounted to the frame rail. About the size of a small oil filter; inlet and outlet on opposite ends.
