I have a CS26 string trimmer that had a major problem from the start. It would eventually start after many pulls and then and run only at high speed. I would also see some leakage inside the cover. A neighbor suggested that this was a symptom of a vacuum leak somewhere. When he checked he found that the screws holding one of the engine cover plates were loose. After tightening the screws and much fiddling with the adjustments, the trimmer now appears to run OK and doesn't immediately stall when you release the trigger as it was doing.
Restringing a Ryobi Whipper Snipper is accomplished by gently tapping the bottom on the soft ground. It is possible at various intervals that a new spool of string is necessary. There is a cartridge in the bottom of the Whipper Snipper that can be taken out and replaced.
Ryobi was created on 1943-12-16.
