It is located in the very front of the carburetor. Using a crescent wrench, screw off the big nut and the fuel filter will be right there.
You have to remove the calibar which is removed by the two pins that is held on by the two pins on the calibar. Most times these bolts are 3/8 heads Allen wrench. Then the calibar should lift off.
If it is a quad 4, the knock sensor is on the firewall side of the engine, at the transmission end of the engine, just below the exhaust manifold. It has a single lead and is about 2" in diameter and 1-1/2" high. Use a proper fitting socket or wrench to unscrew it.
If it is the front ones, remove the wheel, get a t-50, or t-55 torx for a half in. ratchet. remove the upper and lower bolts, caliper slides off. If it is rear, remove wheel, get an 18mm wrench and take the bolts out. caliper will come out with them.
Insert a 3/8 breaker bar or wrench into the notch on the tensioner and pull upwards (towards back of the car). Then you can change the belt.
The 1998 General Motors/Oldsmobile Cutlass came equipped with the 3100 V6. This vehicle has multiple O2 sensors located up and downstream of the catalytic converter. Removal and replacement of the O2 sensors requires first disconnected their wiring harnesses. Then they can be removed from the exhaust piping by a wrench. If the mileage is sufficiently high enough it is advisable to replace them altogether.
Basic mechanics sockets, ratchets, and extensions, plus a good torque wrench.
Start at the exhaust manifold and follow the exhaust from the manifold rearward. You will find the O2 sensors. It may be mounted right on the manifold or somewhere on the exhaust pipe. Looks like a spark plug base with a single wire attached. Unhook the wire and use a boxed end wrench to unscrew & remove/replace the sensor.
The knuckle bolts on the brake caliper bracket for a 1998 Oldsmobile Cutlass can be a problem to get loose because of rust and dirt buildup. A bolt loosening spray, like Liquid Wrench, can help free the bolt.
The adjustment bolt is very hard to get to. It is at the top of the pump just behind the Pully. You will have to slip a 15 mm open end wrench in from the top. You're only going to be able to get about a sixth of a turn at a time . You probably have a double pulley and the front groove has a belt that goes to the alternator on it. You will have to loosen the alternator first, adjusted pump, and then readjust the alternator. That's not a 305 Engine, that is a 307 engine. Y engine code in a Cutlass Supreme, 9 engine code in a 442. I just changed this belt yesterday. :-)
first remove the belt via the belt tensioner use a 3/4 wrench to do so disconnect all lines and hoses and unbolt it for engine
You need a 15 mm wrench.
