T-55 Torx Socket (DO NOT USE AN ALLEN WRENCH) - To remove the 3 bolts that secure hub assemble to steering knuckle. 1 -3/16 deep socket - To remove axle spindle nut.
Remove wheels remove axle nut on drum brake side remove drum then axle is free place a socket over threads not to big u want socket just big enough not to damage threads hit socket with hammer to free it from ring gear and it is out!!
Remove the tire and wheel from your Chevy Cavalier. Remove the end of the axle. Remove the wheel bearing nut. Remove the wheel bearing seal and the wheel bearing.
A 11/16 socket is needed to remove the 1984 Chevrolet pickup front axle hub assembly. The socket should be a five-point socket.
First, remove the 8 bolts on the end of the axle (tire end). Next, use a special socket with 4 teeth that fit into the ratcheting nut and remove. The left side is reverse thread! The axle will now slide out easily. Be careful not to damage the rubber o-ring seal around the axle end itself.

Depends on the year and what size Ram. All 1994-2001 four wheel drive trucks used a 1 11/16 inch socket ot remove the front axle shaft nut. 2002-current 2500 and 3500 still use the same socket. 2002-current 1500 trucks use a 1 3/8
With the correct sized socket, obviously.

take off the drum stick a socket wrench through the hole in the axle and undue the four bolts then pull the axle out.
