It is entirely up to you. Many people, myself included, can't listen to music while reading. The music is always engaging and distracts from the book. Whatever you choose, make sure that it does not distract, otherwise why waste time trying to read a book that you are not absorbing? Make it music that will relax you and fade into the background.
I'm 12 and I read the book and it is SO awesome! I really couldn't keep my hands off of it! And nothing is wrong with it at all! You should definitely read the Last Song.
