Any good quality plug and wire set will be fine for this car. There is really no need to buy real expensive plugs and wires for this vehicle. Accel makes good plugs and wires.
Spark plugs and wires
Replace the spark plugs and the spark plug wires. Replace the air filter. Replace the oil and oil filter. Replace the fuel filter.
The 1988 Chevy Cavalier spark plug wires are quite easy to remove. The spark plug wires simply pull off on each end. Put the new spark light wires on by pushing downward on each end.
Follow the spark plug wires.... :)
The spark plugs for any Chevy cobalt are located under the 4 wires that go into the center top of the motor, each one is evenly spread out into a line. Unplug those wires and below them are the spark plugs
Remove the spark plug wires from your 2000 Chevy Impala spark plugs. Remove the spark plugs with a 5/8 deep well socket by turning the socket to the left. Reverse the process to install the new spark plugs.
Follow the spark plug wires, they will lead you right to them.
On the 2.2L engine they are in the front between the exhaust manifold. On the 2.4L engine they are under the aluminum cover on the top of the engine. There are no plug wires on the 2.4L engine.

You will not go wrong installing the OEM AC/Delco plugs, just like came in the car. This is what I would install in a GM vehicle.
you are not getting spark. this could be from a bad alternator, bad spark plugs, bad spark plug wires, or bad engine coils. The spark plugs and wires are the cheapest so try putting in new ones of those first.
