The female spider is hungry; and since the male spider is nearby and he's probably weaker than the female, she eats him. Also if she kills the male spider, he won't eat her eggs when he gets hungry.

A bit tangled that, but I wonder if it is normal behaviour. For most web-spinning spider species, the females make and stay in the webs while the males roam around looking for food and mates. He visits a female in her web solely to mate, and may end up being eaten afterwards or might in fact simply die anyway (mating then dying is quite common among invertebrates). If he is eaten it's because he's there and a hearty meal necessary for making all those eggs.
In many cases, she doesn't. Most male Spiders escape unharmed after mating. In the cases in which the male does become an unfortunate victim of his mate, it is more than likely because he is small and easy for her to catch much like most of her prey items.
Female spider.
Both male and female spiders spin webs. However, upon maturity, the male spider is usually too busy trying to mate to be bothered with web-spinning.
Black Window spiders and Bird Eating Spiders usually eat the male.
Famale do not eat male after mating.
to ensure that the baby orb weaver spiders do not starve (although some still do not make it) the adult female orb weaver spider kills the male and regurgitates it into the egg sac

black widow
The Black Widow spider got its name because the female eats her mate following mating. Though this does not always happen, people believed it did and therefore gave the spider its title. The female usually kills the male after mating.

Yes, she does. After mating with her husband, she kills and eats him.
The Praying Mantis sometimes kills the male during mating. The Black Widow spider (which is not an insect) may also do this.
The Black Widow on Counterfeit Island is female. The name comes from the poisonous species of spider, in which the female spider kills the male when they mate. The name "black widow" is colloquially any woman or wife who kills one or more husbands or mates, especially for financial benefit.
they get funky with each other then the female kills the male
only the female of the species stings humans, and then she kills her mate.
In the mating ritual of the black widow spider, the female kills the male after he has fulfilled his duty of mating with her. When refering to a woman 'black widow', it is meant that she has killed her spouse/significant other. The black widow is common among female serial killers, which usually kill family members or people to whom they are caregivers such as nurses, ect. This is one of the major differences between male and female serial killers.
Every male creature has a penis. Snakes, Whales, ants. You name it. Arachnid (spider) reproduction happens by a male spider going behind a female spider and jumping aboard, holding the females legs down while doing his work. After the intercourse the female spider kills the male spider. The female falls pregnant, lays her eggs and then spiders are born
