For my needs the Yamaha FZ1 fits the bill. I would class them more as a sport, sport-touring bike. But if your looking for a bike that's smooth enough to ride everyday, and fast enough to bring on some true permagrin. Then its the right fit. I will also add the BMW is also a very good choice.
