There really aren't any really good bicycle paints that can be applied at home. Whatever you buy will end up softer than the original paint and more prone to chipping. For easy application and decent results I'd recommend Hammerite. If you want to aim higher, go for a 2-component polyurethane or epoxy paint. Be aware that they are toxic, so you need to wear a good filter mask.

∙ 11y agoYou start by wiping the frame down with alcohol or benzine to take off any oil that may be on the metal, then after about 15 minutes dry time you primer the frame.
At this point you can spray it with just about any paint you want. Primer is very important in making the paint stick.
