What stand does John McCain take on environmental issues?

John McCain has publicly stated that he believes that human activities may have an influence on Global Warming. However, he has never backed up this belief with a vote for the environment in the Senate since 2005. John McCain has recently reversed his stand on oil spills near America's beaches. He now supports allowing oil rigs to drill just 3 miles off-shore from America's Beaches. John McCain's voting record may be reviewed via the link at the bottom of this page. John McCain has not voted on any Environmental Issues before the US Senate since Nov 3, 2005. He did not vote on any of the last 21 Environmental Bills before the US Senate. He can claim that he never voted on the wrong side, no matter which side you are on for these issues! However some people believe the failure to act is an act in and of itself because he does not vote on their side! McCain v 3.0 appears to believe that profits for Big Oil companies are more important than being a good steward of America's environment. In 2008, John McCain refused to complete the National Political Awareness Test. However, he did answer in 2004, and his answers taken from the archives are below.
