Kentucky was the birthplace of Abraham Lincoln, the US president and of Jefferson Davis, the president of the confederate states.
Federalism contributed to economic and political differences among the states because it allowed each state freedom to make its own laws. Each state was also able to draft its own constitution.
The president has no power with regards to the number of state senators. BY the Constitution each state has 2 the number of congressman( for each state) is determeined by the state population
In the presidential election, each state votes for a delegate that will represent the state in a whole and vote for the president.

Millions are spent on the campaigns. The candidates do not have to use their own money. The money is contributed by supporters. The only required costs are for filing the petitions in each state to get on the ballot, maybe $500 per state, plus the cost of collecting the required signatures.
