The house was bought by The National Society of The Colonial Dames of America in the State of Georgia in 1928 to be used as its state headquarters and, since 1952, has been open to the public as a museum. Juliette also lived in many other places. She lived a couple of years with her grandparents in Chicago and also lived in homes belonging to the Low family in England and Scotland.
