It does not "stimulate" gravity, but it can, to a certain degree, simulate it. Whether or not it is a vacuum is irrelevant, although it does suggest that this is in space.

What provides the centripetal force that keeps objects in orbit?

Centripetal force wants to move something towards the centre. So in a satellites case that would be the Gravity of the Earth. If you had a rock tied to a string you were spinning around, the Centripetal Force would be the tension in the string acting towards the centre.

What happens to the size of the centripetal force due to gravity acting on the satellite if the satellite moves farther from earth?

The centripetal force decreases. F= mv^2/r = mGM/r^2

How do you describe forces acting on an apple?

its called gravity person

What if your walking down the street describe the forces acting on you and use Newton's laws of motion to describe your motion?

law of gravity and friction

What are the forces acting on a satellite that is in a circular orbit about the Earth at an altitude at which air resistance is negligible?

There's just gravity acting as the centripetal force keeping the satellite in its circular orbit. This force is equal to GMEm/r2 = ma = mv2/r.

What is the force that causes the earth to orbit the sun?

GRAVITY!A2. Centripetal force. The velocity of the satellite around the earth causes centripetal, force which balances with the gravity, holding it in a circular orbit around the earth.

What is A 0.25 kg stone tied to a 0.5 m string whirls at a speed of 4 m s What is the centripetal acceleration acting on the stone?

Centripetal acceleration = V2/R = (4)2/(0.5) = 32 meters/sec2The centripetal acceleration doesn't depend on the stone's mass.(The centripetal force does.)The centripetal acceleration doesn't "act on" the stone.(The centripetal force does.)The centripetal force acting on the stone is F = M A = (0.25) (32) = 8 newtons.

The centripetal force that makes the Moon travel in a circle around the Earth instead of continuing in a straight line is?

As the moon orbits the Earth, the force of gravity acting upon the moon provides the centripetal force required for circular motion.

What is the origin of centripetal force?

Centripetal force is the resultant force acting towards the centre of orbit of an object undergoing uniform circular motion.

What is the formula to find centripetal force?

Centripetal force is always directed towards the center of the circle of motion that an object is traveling in.

Does the centripetal force acting on an object in uniform circular motion do work on the object?

No

Measure of force of gravity acting in an object?

weight, The weight of an object is the force of gravity acting on it.
