Lyndon Johnson, Richard Nixon, Jimmy Carter & Ronald Reagan
Communism has not ended . However, Ronald Reagan's foreign policy, continued under George Bush , is often said to be a factor in the break-up of the communist dominated Soviet Union.
First off, Ronald Reagan didn't create Star Wars, George Lucas did. Second, it had nothing to do with any form of government anywhere in the world.
The break-up of the Soviet Union ended the cold war , united Germany and set the soviet bloc nation free. Reagan was not the sole cause of this, but he had some effect. Reagan's supply-side economic theory is questionable theory but had a great deal of influence on US economic policy.
No. Not ever.
yes, Ronald Reagan LOVED jelly beans! It was said that at every meeting in the White house he would bring a jar of jelly beans and pass it around the table. When he was shot, his wife Nancy brought him a big jar of jelly beans at the hospital. Appearantly he had smoked and used jelly beans to try to break his habit. They then became his favorite candy.

Ronald Regan.
Ronald Reagan didn't "break the Berlin Wall."The biggest problem with the myth that Reagan killed communism, is communism was coming apart at the seams while Carter was in office. Carter was a smart man, and he knew all he had to do to cause the downfall of communism was nothing because their economic system was not sustainable. Reagan came into office in 1981 rattling sabers, which caused the Soviets to put their system on sort of life support. If Carter would have been reelected the Soviet bloc would have embraced democracy by 1984 because Communism would have failed. Thanks to Reagan, we had ten more years of communism that we wouldn't have had before.
