I haven't seen the movie but that is the way the book ends.No from what I see in the movie the dog gets put down, they put him in the ground and the main guy looks into the house and see all the good times hes had with the dog then it goes back to reality. Answer:No, in the ending of the movie Marley dies and they then end the movie after they bury him and John Grogan (played by Owen Wilson) reflects on how his life is so good. In the book they bought a new puppy, which they named Gracie, but in the movie it is not mentioned. No they don'tThe movie is so sad! :( Wahhhhh. Anyway, the movie ends with Marley dead, but it is possible there will be a sequel ( a second movie)------ Marley and Me 2
