Oxides of nitrogen and sulphur.
Iron sulphur is not a compound, but a mixture of iron and sulfur elements. Compounds are substances composed of two or more different elements chemically combined in fixed ratios, whereas mixtures are combinations of different substances that are not chemically bonded.
Ammonia, oxygen, and sulphur can be broken down into simpler substances by chemical reactions, such as decomposition or combustion. Iron filings, being an element, cannot be further broken down into simpler substances through chemical means.
They can occur as either pure substances, for example native gold and sulphur, or combined with other substances in the form of compounds, such as ores.
Sulfur contains atoms in three energy shells.
To make natural rubber stronger and bouncier, substances such as sulfur and accelerators are added during the vulcanization process. Vulcanization involves heating the rubber with sulfur to create cross-links between the polymer chains, enhancing its strength and elasticity.
Creepers and Ghasts will sometimes drop it when you kill them.
In 1789 Lavoisier published his Elementary Treatise of Chemistry in which he identified oxygen, nitrogen, hydrogen, phosphorus, Mercury, zinc and sulphur as substances which could not be broken down further - that is, they were identified as elements.
Chlorine, Sodium, Magnesium, Sulphur, Calcium, Potassium, Bromine, Boron, Strontium and Silicon. Oh yeah...and Hydrogen and Oxygen.
"S" is the the chemical symbol for the element Sulphur.
