The similarities of earth to Mars is that both have poles both covered with ice. Both experience four seasons namely summer, winter, autumn, spring. Both have a rocky surface. And there are some theories that there may be frozen water under the poles or in the permafrost of Mars.

The two planets share many surface features. Mountains, valleys, deserts, ice caps, volcanoes (Mars has several, but they're not active), craters (Mars has many, Earth has a few).

Does mars have a stronger or weaker gravity on earth?

An object on the surface of Mars weighs about 37% of its weight on the surface of earth.

How does the surface gravity on Mars compare that on Earth?

Mars's gravity is 38% of Earth's.

How much more surface area does Earth have then Mars?

Mars only has about 28% the surface area of the Earth. What's interesting is that number matches the land area of Earth, so the total surface of Mars is roughly the same as the dry land surface of Earth.

Does earth have stronger or weaker gravity than mars?

The gravitational force exerted at the surface (and above the surface) of Mars is weaker than that here on Earth. The reason: Mars has less mass than earth.

What does a Mars rover do on Mars?

It explores the surface of mars and it is a robot like feature. It shows the surface of mars and the NASA people can see what is happening on mars. They're seeing if there are traces of water too.

Is the gravity on mars the same as on earth?

No. Surface gravity on Mars is 37.6% (about 3/8) what it is on Earth.

What is Mars gravity compared to earth?

The surface gravity on Mars is about 37% or 3/8 that on Earth.

Why is the acceleration due to gravity on the surface of Mars is about one third the acceleration due to gravity on earths surface?

Because the acceleration of gravity on the surface of any given body depends on the mass of the body and its radius ... the distance of the surface from the center. Mars' mass ... about 11% of Earth's ... and Mars' radius ... about 53% of Earth's ... combine to produce about 38% of Earth's gravitational acceleration at the surface of Mars.

Earth is about 1.88 times larger than Mars.

How strong is the gravity on Mars?

Surface gravity on mars is 0.376 compared to that of the earth.
