Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists was created in 1945.
~17,300 as of 2014, according to the Ploughshares Fund and the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists (including both active stockpile and retired but not yet dismantled). For the current estimate and a downloadable copy of the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists report (PDF) on historical active stockpile sizes use the Ploughshares Fund: World Nuclear Stockpile Report link.
Many people that worked on the Manhattan Project eventually felt this way. One group of them started publishing the magazine "The Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists".
Scientists represent atoms using atomic symbols, which consist of a chemical abbreviation of the element. They also use structural diagrams such as Lewis dot structures or ball-and-stick models to illustrate the arrangement of atoms within a molecule. Additionally, scientists use numerical values such as atomic mass and atomic number to convey important information about atoms.
The United States has used atomic bombs as weapons .
Atomic Weapons Establishment was created in 1950.
British Atomic Scientists Association was created in 1946.
Atomic Weapons.
This is a war fought using Atomic weapons. Atomic weapons are weapons that use Nuclear fission explostion producing tremendous pressure and radiation. Later nuclear weapons were called hydrogen bombs that use nuclear fussion.
The Doomsday Clock is not an actual clock; it’s a representation designed by the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists that depicts a portion of a clock with hands that represent how close we are to destroying life as we know it. These scientists, who were all involved with the Manhattan Project, helped to design the atomic bomb but opposed its use on people. As of the founding and formation of the Bulletin of Atomic Scientists, the organization updates its hands every year. Initially, the symbol was intended to represent the threat of nuclear war, fueled by the Cold War arms race between the Soviet Union and the United States of America. Since then, the timekeepers have considered a broader scope of worldwide issues. A physical representation of the Doomsday Clock can be found at the University of Chicago.
Scientists use the symbol "u" to represent atomic mass unit.
Albert Einstein, he and a team of scientists worked on the Manhattan project which resulted in the creation/invention of nuclear weaponry
