The operating system for this netbook is Windows Vista Business, although it also comes with a media kit to downgrade to XP Professional if needed and includes disks for both XP Pro and Vista Business.

for win Vista, go to control panel, then Network and Internet, connect to a network, and if your connection is visible, right-click on it and check the properties box to "connect automatically when this network is in range."

Yes, you can. You need to get a good firewall too it will increase your security a lot. But you need to make sure that the firewall is configured properly. Windows firewall will not help you in such case.

PC100 is a type of memory, and doesn't affect (for your part) battery life. Consider getting a latop with different memory, which will likely be faster and more battery efficient (such as DDR memory).
Does assassin's creed 2 works on windows 8?
I've played AC2 using Windows 8, on an Asus G75VW gaming latop, with NVIDIA Geoforce GTX 660M. Problem free. Microsoft lists AC2 as compatible with 8 but Ubisoft doesn't mention it one way or the other. Some people have reported problems installing on 8 but it often seems to be an issue with video card compatibility, low RAM, or a bad disc. The caveat is, after many years of playing games for PC, occasionally, no matter what the specs say, a game simply wil not install. That's why I make sure that I get the game from a reputable retailer with reasonible return policy.

If you have a Mac, then you most likely need an adapter. The symbol for video out on a mac is a rectangle with a vertical line on each side.

Try using the Fn key. Along the top of your latop are numbers. I don't know where it will be on yours but there is a button that changes the screen from lcd and sets it up for projecters. Someone may be able to explain this a bit clearer than me :P
