If you refer to the physical "thing", nutrients is absorbed into the blood capillaries (other than fat molecules) and lacteals (fat molecules only) in the villi, which are lining the small intestine. The nutrients absorbed into the blood is then transported via the hepatic portal vein to the liver where the liver further distribute the blood to our body. The fat absorbed into the lacteals evntually join with the lymphatic system and finally empties into a vein near the neck.

If you refer to the mechanism, the "force" that helps the absorption of nutrients would be the concentration gradient between the blood in the blood capillaries and the chyle in the intestines. Also, cells in the small intestines actively transports nutrients (e.g. amino acids, glucose) using ATP.
