The "Tank man" was an icon for freedom in China. In 1989, a group of large protesters marched into Tianamin in China. They wanted to protest communism in China. When the government had enough of the humiliation of the protestoers, they sent tanks to clear out the place. The Tank man stood in front of the tank and prevented it from moving forward. When the tank tried to go around, he blocked it from that way. He was eventually ran over by the tank and that ended the chance for freedom in China.

A Wheel Horse riding lawn mower that ran out of gas and will not turn over after refilling the gas tank might be vapor locked. Maybe it will start after it sits a while with the gas cap off. There isn't much else a person can do if the tank vapor locked.
They did not run him over. After stepping in front of the tank, jumping on top and talking to the crew, he jumped off and blocked them again. At this point, two people in blue clothes took him into the crowd. Some people say this was the Chinese secret police and that he was executed. Others say he is still alive. No one knows for sure as there is no body, live or dead.
