A reminder to love God and to love people, as well as good influence of ethics when people actually follow the teachings of Christianity.
Clearly the teachings of Christianity are not so compelling as to prevent people from leaving the faith altogether. In some European countries, Christianity now has minority support among the people.
When the people of Israel were eventually released from captivity to return to their homeland, some migrated northward. These people are known today as The Lost Tribes. They would have taken the teachings of Christ with them. When Christ returns again the Lost Tribes will also return from the North Countries and bring with them their writings, these we will have the opportunity to read.
His saying often told of the importance of good behavior, kindness, tradition, respect for elders, and education.
Jesus Christ's followers were the 'inventors', or rather, 'creators' of Christianity. Jesus, a Jew, said that he was the son of God, and the savior/messiah. His followers then passed on his messages and teachings to others. Some Jewish people did not believe in Jesus' teachings. Therefore, his followers created a new religion, basing it off of Christ, thus, creating Christianity.
Christianity may be false, but it is not fake in the sense of being an intentional lie, because around 2 billion people sincerely believe in its teachings.
Christianity started off as nothing more than a sect of Judaism, so many of the Jewish teachings also apply to Christianity, for example the ten commandments. However, since those who spread Christianity wanted lots of people to convert really quickly, they abolished some of the more outdated or strict rules (such as dietary restrictions), and obviously the peaceful teachings of Jesus emphasised. But apart from that, most of the laws and teachings are very similar.

The followers of the Way, early Christians, adhered to teachings centered around the life and teachings of Jesus Christ. They believed in love, forgiveness, compassion, and spreading the message of salvation to all people. They also emphasized the importance of community, prayer, and living a life in accordance with the teachings of Jesus.
Jesus told us there would remain a 'little flock' who adheres to Apostolic teachings.
Some people believe that all religious teachings are false. Among those who hold religious beliefs, though, the answer varies based on the religion. Usually a false teaching is defined as one that goes against the particular religion's holy writings or collection of teachings. This can become rather subjective, of course, depending on what teachings the group believes is true, or what interpretations of those teachings are generally accepted.
