No. Ike was not president when the Japanese-Americans were interned: Franklin Roosevelt was, and he did authorize it. He also authorized interning German-Americans and Italian-Americans - many in Montana, and many in Texas. I do not know why we do not hear about these interned citizens.

Because Americans don't know the difference between the two.

Because they were the first Japanese. Just like Native Americans (Sioux, Cherokee, Navajo, etc.) were the first Americans. Also, the Japanese we know now (Yayoi) came from China & Korea.

Nothing let them know. Radar was new and on Pearl that morning in December it was off. My dad told he they always could hear the engine of the plane before they saw it. He said it sounded like a sewing machine. On the Pacific islands spotters were placed so warnings could be radioed on Japanese troop movements.

Well, the Xbox 360 console is made by Microsoft, which from what I know is a company based in the U.S, but I'm sure there were many employes of many other cultures that helped in the making/development of it's technology (Canadian, Japanese, etc..)

What are Japanese American interment camps?
Japanese internment camps were meant to house any Japanese Americans whom "posed a threat" to the American Government or people during WWII. Though this sounds innocent, the Americans took total liberty in putting any Japanese they could get there hands on in there.
What was manzanar?
An internment camp for Japanese-Americans. This was done in 1940 during World War II. The Government was afraid that any Japanese /Japanese American was gonna contact japan and let them know was the plan was for Americans therefore Manzanar was built to keep them in place 100,000 Japanese were there and live in a cabin no bigger but smaller then a master bedroom.
