when the lava rock is in the volcanoe it is magma, and when it reaches the outside of the volcanoe it is lava.

Viscosity is the measure of a liquids resistance to flow. In the case of magma, the hotter it is, the lower the viscosity.
When the tectonic plates push up that's when a volcano erupts and the lava comes out. The volcano changes because the top of it will have to repair itself.
How awesome all that smoke and lava looks
Shield volcanoes.
It is unlikely for a volcano to be destroyed by its own lava. Lava flows typically move slowly enough for people and animals to avoid them, and the volume of lava produced by a volcano is usually not enough to completely submerge and destroy the volcano itself.
A Crust and a Hole in which makes lava and ash spurt and gush out.
A pyroclatic flow is a superheated flow of hot air, debris, ash. boulders and toxic gases. The Pyroclastis flow comes pouring down the volcanoe at 140-150 MPH the temperature can be around 1000 degrees Celsius. Best hope you're not around when one of these go off. Also never get by the lava after it has been erupted!!!!!!!
