To be a nurse, individuals must work out of passion, out of a love for what they do and the benefit it brings others as well as themselves. Thus, people come first, everything else comes second. The advantage is that you are placed in a position where you are able to act as an angel of mercy, to affect the lives of others as they go through their victories, trails, tribulations, sorrow, and joy. To comfort when needed, to encourage when discouragement sets in, to build up, and your reward should be based on this. It is an awesome responsibility that few experience in life. That being said, the other advantages outside your primary focus would include:

* Job stability * Good salary * Great benefits * Good workplace environment * Ability to use your professional skills almost anywhere you choose to live.
