What the ancient Egyptians wear on their feet?
Most ancient Egyptians went barefoot all the time for their whole lifetime. Priests, officials, nobles and royalty wore sandals of various kinds made from leather or palm or papyrus fibres - sometimes woven straw was used. Even these wealthier people often went barefoot.
It was simply because rich people wanted to look good, mostly why people wear makeup today. - - - - - If you wear it really heavy like the ancient Egyptians did, it will keep the sun out of your eyes, which is why the ancient Egyptians wore it and why Arabs still do. (In America our football players do the same thing with their eyeblack.)
