Today is April 9, 2014. The planet Venus is the "morning star", rising in the southeast about 5:30 AM. If you're seeing a "bright planet", this is probably it.
The planet Jupiter is high in the sky at sunset, and sets about midnight.
The planet Mars is in "opposition" tonight (well, last night) and is almost exactly on the other side of the Earth from the Sun. Mars rises at sunset and sets at sunrise. It's pretty close, too, at only about 60 million miles or so. It is bright red in the sky, and QUITE distinctive.
The planet Saturn rises and sets about an hour after Mars does.
what about the brights?
Brights movement was created in 2003.
Pull the flasher handle towards you to toggle the brights on and off
I had this same problem when I first got my 94 beretta. To switch from your regular lights to brights, you have to pull the turning signal lever towards you to switch between normal and brights.

Check to see if the foglight switch is on. Brights (high-beams) are automatically disengaged when fog lights are being used.
If the head light switch is in the OFF position, you can flash your brights by pulling the (left side handle) head light switch towards you. As long as you hold the handle the lights will stay on. If the light switch is in the ON position, the brights will STAY ON if the handle is pushed away from you. You can still flash the brights by pulling the handle towards you. If the high-beam (blue light on dash) indicator is illuminated, the brights are on - unless there is a malfunction in your unit.

nephritis. brights disease isn't used anymore because the diseases (of the kidneys) are more specifically named now, based on their causes. and i think nephritis is the same, not a specific disease. but it's the new fancy word for brights disease... or some sh*t
