When is an object considered to be in free fall and can you explain the concept of free fall in physics?

An object is considered to be in free fall when it is only under the influence of gravity, with no other forces acting on it. In physics, free fall is the motion of an object solely under the influence of gravity, with no air resistance or other forces affecting its motion.
