Visually they are virtually identical, but the LS1 in 2002 had 310 hp vs 305 in 2000, and in 2002 you couldn't get the Ram Air WS6 package.

Why wouldn't it? There is NO difference between a 1999 and a 2000, as of right this second i have a 1999 Pontiac grand am with a 3.4 liter (what your looking at right now) and built it from ground up. I know plenty about cars.
