Gymnosperms have no flowers or fruits, reproduces through cones, has needles, and its seeds are not inclosed in a flower or fruit, they are called naked seeds. Angiosperms have seeds located inside a flower or fruit, they are divided into two groups monocots and dicots, has leaves, and reproduces through fruits or flowers.

Angiosperms and gynmosperms are of at the newer end of the plant family and both reproduce by spreading seeds.

Gynmosperms came first and includes plants such as Connifers and Pines, their seeds are generally formed in cones and their leaves are much smaller and shaped differently to those we are used to. The wood from Gymnosperms is considered to be "softwood"

Angiosperms are the Flowering plants and make up most of the plants in our world today. They are all different sizes from tiny water plants to the huge 100m+ eucalypts. Wood from Angiosperms is considered to be "Hardwood"

For similarity- Both groups produce seeds

For difference- 1. Seeds are naked in Gymnosperms whereas in Angiosperms these are produced inside fruit. 2. Gymnospermic plants have archegonium and Angiospermic plants have embryosac. 3. True vessels are present in Angiosperms and absent in Gymnosperms.
