Autotrophs are organisms which can make their own food whereas heterotrophs are organisms that depends on other organisms for their food.This ability of the organisms to prepare their own food is due to the presence of chlorophyll pigment in their cell.Eg of aotutrophs are all green plants n eg of heterotrophs are all animals including humans excepts micro organism like cyanobacteria.
