Some epilepsy cannot be killed off. There is no drug that you can say would have a mximum dose to do that. There are a wide variety of forms and severity of epilepsy. It is not a single condition with a single way of treating it. There are many different drugs used for epilepsy and their purpose is to control rather than cure epilepsy.
Epilepsy is not an infection. You cannot "catch" epilepsy off someone. It is a physical conditional. If someone had a broken arm and was sitting beside you, you could not catch their broken arm off them, like you could catch a cold off them if they had one. So no, epilepsy does not spread.

You have to pass a physical exam and the doctor has to sign off on it.
Nope, that's what I was prescribed originally... With a 10mg Ritalin "booster." Yes 54mg of Concerta is too much for the initial dose. Over 6 years the recommended initial dose is 18mg once daily in the morning, increased if necessary in weekly steps of 18mg according to response to a maximum dose of 54mg daily. So you have been prescribed the maximum daily dose starting off. Starting on a lower strength would be more advisable in my opinion. Pharmacist in training Reference from BNF 56 Sept 2008
It is possible, but extremely rare. If someone was doing an otherwise dangerous activity or was in a dangerous situation and then had a seizure, they could die, but it would not be the epilepsy that would have killed them. So as examples, climbing a high ladder, sky diving, swimming, driving etc. If someone was doing one of those and had a seizure, they could be killed, like if they fell off the ladder. This is why some of these activities are not advisable for people with epilepsy. It would take a very serious seizure for the seizure itself to kill a person, but most people who have epilepsy have seizures that are not in any way life threatening. I know two people that have died during a seizure. One went into cardiac arrest and the other was in a state of status epilepticus, was ventilated and was given propofol. The seizure went on for so long, that he died as a result.
During a minor or what is called a petit mal seizure, someone can appear that way. More serious seizures will cause greater problems and someone may collapse or become unconscious. Epilepsy only causes a problem when the person is having a seizure. When someone with epilepsy is not having a seizure they will act normally and will not appear dreamy or switched off.
