The "Turkey Coma" or feeling tired and napping after thanksgiving dinner actually does not come from the turkey but is in fact insulin shock from all of the starches consumed on that day. The day after Thanksgiving most people are on holiday so they have time to go shopping. Also after a business free day many stores offer special prices to customers.
