Try taking a sponge, wetting it, putting the seeds in the holes putting them in the light or dark doesn't matter, and keep the sponges wet. I did this as a class project and it worked. Try it.

How many seeds will germinate from a package?

The number of seeds that will germinate from a package can vary based on factors such as seed age, viability, and germination conditions. Some seeds may have a high germination rate, leading to most or all seeds sprouting, while others may have a lower germination rate, resulting in fewer seeds germinating. It's recommended to check the specific information provided on the seed package for more accurate guidance.

How many fruits and seeds can develop from a flower?

I didn't quite get your question, but I'll try my best to answer. Plants grow because of a little sprout inside of the seed that continues to grow by eating the food provided inside of the seed.

How many seeds does a mimosa have?

For Mimosa pudica (the houseplant), you must first soak the seeds in very hot (not boiling) water overnight. Only pick those seeds which have softened and swelled up, and sow any of them. (You can re-soak those which didn't swell up and try again.) Cover seeds lightly, firm down, and give bright sunlight and moist soil. It takes less than a week to germinate. If nothing happens in a week, soak more seeds and try again. They also might simply die after germination. Just try again with more seeds until you get a healthy seedling in the pot.

What is the process of growing sunflower seeds?

Sunflower seeds grow behind the yellow part of the sunflower. I buy sunflower seeds at Wal-Mart, as soon as February. They have very inexpensive seeds at 10 cents per package. These inexpensive seeds are usually open pollinated, or non-hybrid. This means that you can save some of the seeds for planting. Hybrid plants often produce more seeds, but those seeds are not usually good for planting. I plant sunflower seeds after the last frost where they will get full sunlight. By late fall, the seeds are mature, and I cut the flowers off the stalks, tie three or four of them together, and hang them up to dry. When dry, rubbing your hand hard over the flower will knock the seeds loose. They are still in their shells. Save some to plant next year. Eat the rest. Birds like the seeds a lot and will try to eat them off the plants.

How do you start seeds inside?

To start seeds indoors, try using CowPots or a similar bio-degradable starter pot. CowPots are made from cow manure, but they do not smell, and you can plant them directly into the ground. Start seeds indoors in the spring, and transplant outside when there is no risk of frost. you mean germinate? place them on some cottonwool, water it but dont drown them, and place in a warm place tof a few days. make sure they dont dry up.
