In the US, beginning in 2007, Standard Time resumes on the first Sunday of November, which ranges from the 1st to the 7th of November. In each US time zone the change happens when it's 2 AM Daylight Saving Time (1 AM Standard Time) in that time zone. Since there are six US time zones that observe DST, and each one switches to Standard Time separately at one-hour intervals, the transition for the whole country takes five hours, from 6 AM UTC to 11 AM UTC.
DST begins at 2:00 am on the second Sunday of March of each year and ends at 2:00 am on the first Sunday of November of each year, beginning in 2007. See US Code, Title 15, Chapter 6, Subchapter IX, Section 260a for more information. http://www4.law.cornell.edu/uscode/15/usc_sec_15_00000260---a000-.html
Most of the United States begins Daylight Saving Time at 2:00 a.m. on the second Sunday in March (spring ahead). These same areas revert ("fall back") to standard time on the first Sunday in November.
Note how the phrase "spring ahead" is a reminder that it occurs just as the season of Spring begins. "Fall back" is a reminder that it occurs late fall-early winter.
In the U.S., each time zone switches their clocks at a different time. Example: In the eastern zone, it switches at 2 a.m.

November 1, the clocks falls back.
Referring to the time change in daylights savings time, in spring most clocks should be moved forward one hour creating the allusion of a 23 hour day. The opposite happens in fall when most clocks should be moved backward one hour creating the allusion of a 25 hour day. The amount if time you sleep is not necessarily related to time change but many people get less sleep than time is said to go one hour forward.
You spring forward on the second Sunday of march, and fall back on the first Sunday in November.
"Fall back Spring ahead" is how I remember to set my clock BACK in the fall and AHEAD in the spring
Yes it does. Clocks go forward one hour on the last Sunday in March and they go back one hour on the last Sunday of October.
If it goes back it is slower, if it goes forward it is faster

In terms of the amount of minutes of daylight, that changes every day, so it certainly does change in a week. Days still have 24 hours though, except when the hour goes forward and back.
